Tara Harris is a Birmingham-based contemporary painter creating otherworldly landscapes that sit between the familiar and the imagined.

Working primarily in oil on wood panel, Tara explores memory, place, emotion and transformation. Familiar landscapes are fragmented, reassembled and layered, becoming psychological spaces where remembered places and imagined worlds meet.

Her paintings develop through a process of layering, scraping, erasing and rebuilding. Colour, texture and atmosphere gradually create landscapes that are open to interpretation, inviting the viewer to look slowly and discover their own associations.
